Calling all New Brunswick organizations involved in the sector!

The government has awarded up to $294,000 to four projects under the Cannabis Education and Awareness Fund, and a NEW CALL FOR APPLICATIONS has been issued.

“The Cannabis Education and Awareness Fund was implemented to support building knowledge and gathering data to understand the long-range implications of legalized cannabis”

“The selected projects fulfil this mandate and will work to reduce the harm and potential risks, while educating those who are most at risk. I am looking forward to the next round of submissions where we can consider additional opportunities for investment.”

Le gouvernement a affecté un total de 294 000 $ à quatre projets au titre du Fonds d’éducation et de sensibilisation en matière de cannabis et il a lancé un nouvel appel aux candidatures.

« Le Fonds d’éducation et de sensibilisation en matière de cannabis a été créé pour accroître les connaissances et recueillir des données dans le but de mieux comprendre les conséquences à long terme de la légalisation du cannabis »

« Les projets sélectionnés remplissent ce mandat et visent à réduire les méfaits et les risques potentiels de ce produit, tout en sensibilisant les personnes les plus à risque. Je me réjouis de voir les résultats du prochain appel de propositions qui nous permettra d’examiner d’autres possibilités d’investissement. »

"Canada is the second country in the world to legalize the non-medical use of cannabis. It creates great opportunities for the Canadian economy. However, there is a huge gap in research and development in this sector that needs to be filled out. This short survey carried out by the agricultural applied research division of the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) aims to understand the needs of the cannabis industry in Canada to help it with applied research."
