🔔 Exciting Developments for Edge Exploration Inc. in the Antimony Market 🔔
Edge Exploration Inc. is thrilled to announce the growing interest in optioning our 100%-owned Mactaquac claim, spanning 35 sq km. The tightening antimony (Sb) market and emerging applications have sparked significant interest, especially with two areas within the claim showing remarkable antimony anomalies. Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) sampling returned highs of 263 ppb Sb—an incredible 537 times the 25th percentile background from 395 reconnaissance soil samples.
These anomalies are located approximately 14 km from the historic Lake George antimony mine, which operated for over a century and, at its peak, supplied around 4% of the world’s antimony. When the mine closed in 1998, antimony prices were less than 10% of today’s values in current dollars.
Beyond antimony, our Mactaquac claim has also uncovered panned gold, a kilometre-long conventional soil anomaly with values reaching 405 ppm Au, and an MMI soil anomaly with elements indicative of IOCG deposits. Noteworthy values at these multi-element targets include Cu up to 6,400 ppb, U to 1,850 ppb, As to 640 ppb, Sb to 263 ppb, Mo to 145 ppb, Bi to 12 ppb, Au to 0.3 ppb, and the sum of 13 REEs totalling 10,613 ppb.
