On this beautiful New Brunswick Day, I am phenomenally proud and excited to announce that the short film that my amazing son Hunter wrote (and starred in alongside his heroic grandfather Barry Arthurs) has just won Best Narrative Short at the Vegas Independent Film Awards. This is obviously huge. A short film written by an (at the time) 11-year old about his love for a part of New Brunswick (the Kingston Peninsula) that most Canadians have never even visited, winning a global award is a truly beautiful thing. Congratulations to director Tyler Warren Ellis TWE Productions Inc. who is the maestro that made this the epic piece of filmmaking that it is. And to Hunter and Barry and Wilhelmina and Pam and Shelby without whom this couldn’t have happened. And massive congrats to soundtrack artist Ethan Ash and make up artist Kadi Oram.
