Ogiimaa will be presented with an Eagle Staff and Headdress in a sacred ceremony representing the responsibility to carry the truth forward and uphold the voice, teachings, and well-being of all Garden River First Nation Registered Citizens.

We invite all Registered Citizens to join us in honouring this important occasion and witnessing the continuation of our traditions and responsibilities.

Meet Our First Responders day was a hit!
We had over 160 visitors. Firehouse subs were delicious! Big thanks to GRFD. OPP. APS. GR-Paramedics. Firehouse Subs. Attendees, and last but not least Garden River's Events Planning Committee Staff for making it a great event!

🟡Important Message for Garden River Parents/Guardians🟡

Every school-aged child who resides in Garden River and requires bus transportation for school, must be registered with the Education Unit. As a friendly reminder, Boissoneau Bus Lines Inc., who is our bus contractor, will be provided a list of students who are authorized (meaning that they are registered with us) to ride the GR buses.

If you are new to the community and haven't registered with us yet, please reach out as soon as possible. Also, for parents or guardians, if you have any new contact information or have moved or your child has or will be transferring schools for September, please advise as soon as possible. In addition, if you want to discuss any school-related matters about your child, please don't hesitate to reach out. Contact information is on the poster.

Join us for a fun afternoon around the fire as we make Bannock on a Stick! 🔥🥖

Bannock is an adored Indigenous food that has become part of many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit food traditions. While bannock was influenced by European ingredients and recipes, Indigenous peoples adapted it with the ingredients available, making it a meaningful part of our own food traditions.

This event is open to our Sault College community.
