Make & Manage Craft Chocolate:
The incumbent will be able to manage ever-changing customer demand for our products with understanding of priorities. The person will manufacture the artisan chocolate from raw cocoa beans, 8 steps from bean to bar. Must be able to plan, organize and anticipate production and operational needs, work independently to manage multiple batches at various stages at once upon training supplied. The incumbent is also responsible for input/output accountability and productivity reports as well as for organizing packaging personnel to complete production for high paced and growing demand. Hours are M-F day production. Key responsibilities also include Inventory Control to ensure accurate reporting of all batches produced. The incumbent must be able to work independently, have initiative and drive to innovate and succeed, work effectively as part of a team, be honest, trust-worthy and accountable to the business by ensuring the highest ethical and work standards.
• Be able to develop and execute production schedule with input from in-coming orders per needs and priority upon guidance.
• Document procedures and batch records per CFIA / FDA regulation
• Verify incoming materials to purchase orders
• Work productively to meet and exceed production standard
• Keep track of materials for re-order and inform purchasing per regular lead times
• Maintain annual service of equipment and record those activities in maintenance record.
• Mandatory necessity to be able to keep work areas clean and clear with items put away at the end of the day
• Must have food safety course or demonstrate food manufacturing hygiene knowledge
• Be reliable and dedicated because what you do for us matters.
• Must have a car since location is not on bus route.
