Just had some of my homemade salsa with nachos.

I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out, but it was pretty tasty if I say so myself (and hubby approved) 😋

All the prep work, chopping, cooking and canning was definitely worth the effort. Too bad I only got 6ish quarts out if it. I’m sure they won’t last too long.

Have you ever stopped and wondered…

What would happen if your only source of income suddenly disappeared?

It’s not something most of us like to think about, but after everything we’ve seen over the past few years, I think it’s an important conversation to have.

For me, having more than one stream of income isn’t about getting rich. It’s about creating choices.

✨ Choices to handle unexpected expenses.
✨ Choices to save more for retirement.
✨ Choices to travel a little more.
✨ Choices to help family when they need it.
✨ And hopefully, one day, choices that give me more freedom with my time.

That’s one of the reasons I started building an online business alongside my full-time job. It doesn’t replace my income overnight, but it gives me the opportunity to build something that can continue working even when I’m not.

I truly believe that relying on a single paycheque is becoming riskier than ever. Having a second stream of income—even one that’s built slowly over time—can make a huge difference.

Today was one of those PERFECT days… ❤️🔥

After Clark and I had brunch, and because it was another beautiful day, we decided it was time to defrost our freezer, so we dragged it on to the deck to defrost in the sunshine..

While the patio door was off, we figured we might as well clean that too. One thing led to another, and before we knew it, everything was cleaned, put back together and done!

And because we love bonfires we decided to have a wiener roast, a couple of drinks and s’mores! You can’t get much better than that.

Now I have an important question… 😂

I’ve learned something over the last few years…

You don’t have to convince, pressure, or chase anyone to build an online business.

My job isn’t to persuade people. It’s simply to share an opportunity that has made a positive difference in my life.

What you choose to do with that information is completely up to you.

I know many people are sceptical. Truthfully… I was too.

That’s why I encourage people to ask questions, do their own research, and take their time. There should never be pressure when you’re making a decision about your future.

I also believe that the right opportunities often show up at exactly the right time. Sometimes the thing we’re unsure about today becomes the answer we’ve been looking for tomorrow.

Thirty-five years ago today, on July 26, 1991, I stepped off a plane in Edmonton, Alberta with a suitcase full of belongings… and a heart full of hope ❤️

Leaving Scotland wasn’t easy. I was saying goodbye to family, friends, and everything that was familiar. But I was also saying yes to new opportunities, new adventures, and a future I couldn’t yet imagine.

Looking back now, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Canada has given me so much… a wonderful husband, two amazing sons, lifelong friendships, countless memories, and a life I’m incredibly grateful for.

That journey also taught me something I’ll never forget…

Sometimes the biggest rewards come from having the courage to take a leap into the unknown.

Thirty-five years later, I’m still saying yes to new opportunities.

That’s one of the reasons I started my online business. It reminded me that you’re never too old to start something new, dream a little bigger, or write another chapter of your story.

To everyone who’s ever wondered if it’s too late to make a change…

It isn’t.
