Are you lying awake at night worrying about money?

Beautiful evening in the Prairies 🌾

Hubby and I went to the city yesterday and left early in the morning.

It was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and it felt like a completely different world compared to the cloudy, chilly days we’d had before.

As we drove, I couldn’t help but notice how green and lush everything looked.

The fields and crops are starting to fill out, which is so nice to see after such a dry spring.

I love taking photos, but I figured everyone has seen green grass before, so I just enjoyed admiring the beautiful countryside instead.

No matter how many times you travel the same road, there’s always something new to notice — growing crops, a bit of standing water, gophers popping up, or some kind of prairie bird. It’s one of the things I love most about living here.

Being from a large city originally, moments like these remind me how fortunate I am to call the Saskatchewan countryside home. ❤️

What do you think is the bigger risk in 2026… starting something new or relying on one income? 🤔

The world has changed a lot.

The cost of living keeps going up.
Technology and AI are changing the way many industries work.
And job security isn’t what it used to be.

Yet many people still depend on a single paycheck to cover everything.

That’s one of the reasons I started looking for a Plan B.

Not to replace my job overnight.
Not to get rich.

Just to create an extra stream of income and have more options for the future.

I wanted to share a bit of my “why”… because I know a lot of you are sitting where I once was… just watching, wondering if this is really for you.

For me, this didn’t start as “I want to build a business.”

It started from real life.

We’ve been through layoffs, health scares, and a lot of uncertainty over the years… and I remember lying in bed at night, heart racing, wondering how we were going to get through to the next pay cheque.

That kind of stress stays with you.

I work full time, and I’m grateful… but at the same time, it felt like no matter how hard we worked, we were just getting by.

Bills, debt, unexpected expenses… it was always something.

Saving or getting ahead felt out of reach for a long time.

And I got to a point where I thought…

I don’t want this to be our normal forever.

With my husband working away a lot, everything at home falls on me… and I knew I needed something that could help take some of that pressure off.

Not add more stress… but actually help.

So I started this on the side.

At first, I was just like a lot of you… reading posts, watching videos, wondering if I could really do it.

I had doubts.
I overthought things.
I questioned myself.

But I also knew… doing nothing wasn’t going to change anything.

So I made a decision to give it a real shot.

Not perfectly.
Not all at once.
Just step by step.

For me, this is about:
✨ Paying off debt
✨ Having extra income coming in
✨ Not stressing over every unexpected expense
✨ Being able to help my family
✨ And building something for our future

I’m still working full time.
I’m still learning.
I’m still figuring things out as I go.

But I’m also moving forward… and that feels really good.

If you’re in here just watching and wondering…

Just know, you don’t have to have it all figured out to start.

You just have to decide you’re ready for something different.
