Maternity update šŸŽ¤ re speaking engagements.

Hey everyone šŸ«¶šŸ¼ it’s been an exciting year filled with incredible speaking opportunities.

This is an FYI that I won’t be taking on any more speaking engagements until spring or summer of 2026 once I start to get my bearings as a new mom.

Baby is not here yet but pregnancy is even more exhausting and all consuming than I was expecting so I need to pause.

Thanks so much for all the interest in having me speak to your communities! I look forward to more next year.

In my soft mama era šŸ§–ā€ā™€ļø

Thank you to my sis for turning 40 so we could have an ā€œexcuseā€ to visit St. Anne’s spa yesterday, AKA the happiest place on earth.

Honestly like Disney world for adults, especially if you’re gluten free. I wasn’t expecting the food to be an 11/10.

My mom .brant said something I can’t stop thinking about. As we waited for our sound bath she looked at my sister and I and said she never would’ve imagined being at the spa with her girls. She didn’t grow up learning that self care was important and I love that we are breaking generational cycles and healing together. šŸ“

Baby Oh, may you know the importance of ā€œimmaculate careā€ as my spirit guides put it (in a session with .frost ). ✨

Have you seen? šŸ‘€

Over my winter ā€œbreakā€ lol I created a brand new 50-minute on demand training for coaches, healers, therapists and space holders of all kinds!

Introducing Holding Space for Race. 🄳

Image Description:

Slide 1: Bright green/yellow, brown and white graphic with a photo of two people smudging. Text: Holding Space for Race, 6 principles every coach or leader needs in order to hold safer, more constructive spaces for clients of the global majority. šŸ’²27 on-demand training.

Slide 2: text on top: what’s included. white and bright green/yellow graphic with desktop image framing ā€œholding space for raceā€ graphic with text ā€œ50 minute videoā€ and a screenshot of a sheet with an arrow pointing to it and text ā€œbonus guideā€.

Slide 3: screenshot of a DM ā€œI binged this the other night in a bath by candlelight and it was not only DIGESTIBLE and CONCISE but actually useful and practical strategy of how to create safer spaces and consciously begin decolonizing your coaching approach! Highly recommend to anyone starting their journey of decolonization OR anyone looking to do a little self audit of their current approach. āš”ļøā€

So all your team members are BIPOC? In the words of Shania, That don’t impress me much. Talk to me when all your MENTORS are BIPOC. šŸ”„

A woman said defensively to me once ā€œyou have no idea what goes on my business! Most of my team members are BIPOC!ā€

As if that means there’s no way this person could ever have decolonization work to do (which btw we ALL do, including myself and BIPOC).

Here’s my issue with what she said…

First, as I said, we all have so much work to do in unlearning colonialism AKA whteā¬œļø supremacy.

Second, how much are you paying these team members? How do you treat them? And WHO, pray tell, are your MENTORS?

🧐 Curious minds want to know.

Not that mentors are less valuable than staff but folks of the global majority especially those in Black, Brown and non-white bodies are always seen and hired as ā€œthe helpā€.

And who are we putting on pedestals as the teachers, leaders, business coaches? ā—½ļø women of course…

Who are we paying gobs and gobs of money to just to ā€œbe in the vibesā€ and ā€œlevel upā€? ā—½ļø women of course…

I’m saying we because again, we all have to UNLEARN that ā¬œļø = the authority.

Because unless we ACTIVELY unless this bias we’ve been living in for our entire lives, consciously and unconsciously- the status quo continues to be upheld.

And PS - hiring BIPOC mentors does not mean your work is done, either.

This work is life-long, and big and daunting, which is why so many resist it…

(I get it).

But in 2025, I truly don’t think you’ll have a choice anymore.

Decolonize or bust, am I right? We can no longer tolerate the harmful ā€œstatus quoā€. Your clients (šŸ’°) will no longer tolerate your harmful status quo.

COACH, WHAT DO YOU DO IF...

A client wants to talk about racism or colonialism?

What about an identity conflict for a client that’s been taught to assimilate to whiteness and is now on a journey to reclaim their roots?

What if they have an experience of racism at work and want to unpack it in your session?

How will you hold space for this as a person who may or may not have similar lived experience?

What if you hold systemic power as a person of European descent?

Coach, this potent 50-minute class is for you!

AS WE COVER THE 6 PRINCIPLES, YOU WILL LEARN–

• How to establish a safe(r) space without assuming your clients want to discuss race and/or identity

• Why naming your privileges and identities is important

• How to un-gasilght your clients and avoid spiritual bypassing

• How to hold caring and loving space for a client even if your lived experience is different

• The next steps in being a safer, more inclusive space for clients of the global majority

The land needs Indigenous stewards who know how to care for the Earth...

Every day, we are seeing the devastating consequences of ignoring this need.

And the Elders and knowledge keepers who know how to sustainably fish, hunt, harvest medicines, prevent wildfires...

Won’t be here much longer to pass down the knowledge that our younger generation (including myself šŸ˜ž) has been colonized away from...

Some excerpts from my latest blog āœļø which one lands the most for you?

ā€œPerfectionism and people pleasing isn’t a character flaw - it’s a symptom of colonialism.ā€

ā€œNo wonder the need to be liked and please everybody is so deeply ingrained in us and incredibly difficult to unlearn.ā€

ā€œIf pleasing everyone will cost you your authenticity and your joy, then the cost is far too high.ā€

ā€œDecolonizing your life and business requires going against everything we’ve been taught since the day we were born.ā€

NOTE: it’s important to read the entire blog for more context! ā›“ļøā€šŸ’„ in .
