Something is growing here — and it starts with rebuilding. 🌱
When we took stewardship of Grand Bend Stirling Sands, we inherited more than 30 acres of established vineyard along Ontario's West Coast — vines with tremendous potential, but also a vineyard in need of care, investment and a long-term plan.
So, we started at the roots.
Working with independent viticultural consultant Ryan Brewster, we assessed every block of the vineyard and developed a multi-year plan focused on healthier vines, stronger fruit and the long-term future of winemaking at Grand Bend Stirling Sands.
Some vines are being carefully rehabilitated. Others have reached the end of their productive life and are making way for what comes next. We're improving soil health, nutrition, drainage, canopy management and frost protection — making decisions today that may not fully reveal their impact for several growing seasons.
Because a vineyard isn't rebuilt in a season.
It's a promise made to the future.
Over the coming months, we'll take you into the vineyard and share more of that work — what's changing, why we're doing it, and what it means for the wines we'll make in the years ahead.
Welcome to our Vineyard Renewal Series. 🍇
