Inventory Clerk Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining inventory levels of raw materials, welding consumables, parts, and shop supplies. This role supports production by ensuring materials are received, stored, and issued accurately to meet project and manufacturing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.

Maintain accurate inventory records in the company inventory.

Organize and store materials in the warehouse or yard.

Issue materials and consumables to shop personnel and track usage by project.

Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.

Identify low stock levels and notify purchasing for replenishment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area.

Qualifications

1–3 years inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience with forklifts and inventory systems considered an asset.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Work Environment

Industrial shop and warehouse setting.

Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and operate material handling equipment.
