💜 Today we are placing 1,157 purple flags in the ground to remember the 1,157 people who lost their lives to accidental opioid poisoning in 2025.
Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Each flag represents a life that mattered and a family, friend, and community left behind.

We will start with a prayer from an Elder at 11:30 a.m. at the Montrose Green Space, and then begin placing the flags.

Please come out and join us as we remember and honour those we have lost. 💜

1,157 flags. 1,157 lives. We remember.

We’re officially counting down to the 3rd Annual Art Unity Collective happening September 10th at 6:30 PM and this year, we’re switching things up in the best way!
If you’ve been following along, you may have noticed our Art Unity postcards popping up on our socials… because this year’s event kicks off with a community scavenger hunt! 🕵️‍♀️✨

🎨 The artwork is now LIVE across Grande Prairie. displayed proudly in local businesses who have graciously partnered with us. Stop by, admire the pieces, and collect a postcard while you’re there!

💛 Bring your postcards to Gala Night for a chance to win a gift card!
The more you collect, the better your chances! Consider it your creative quest before the big night.

🖼️ All artwork will be showcased at the Grant Berg Gallery
and available for bidding during the gala.
💵 All proceeds go directly to the artists.
💰 Please note: this is a cash‑only event.

You can collect postcards at participating businesses until September 9th (or they're all scooped up!) So get exploring, get collecting, and get excited!

🌲 Team Building at O’Brien Provincial Park! 🌲

Yesterday our Centerpoint crew spent the afternoon out at O’Brien Provincial Park soaking up the sunshine, sharing a potluck, and enjoying some much needed time together. We set up a circle of chairs, laughed a lot, connected as a team, and even tested out the river water because why not make the most of a beautiful day outdoors?

These moments of slowing down, recharging, and appreciating each other are such an important part of the work we do. When our team feels grounded and connected, we show up even stronger for the community we serve.

Grateful for good food, good company, and a gorgeous Grande Prairie backdrop. 💚
