June 1st - June 5th, 2026

Doing some spring cleaning in your pantry? Helping Hands would love to give your extra items a second home! Before you toss it out, take a look through your cupboards and consider donating unopened, unexpired food items to help support individuals and families in our community.

We are especially grateful for:
🍎 School snacks
🥣 Cereal & breakfast items
🥫 Canned goods
🍝 Pasta & pantry staples
🧴 Unused/unopened hygiene products
🍪 Kid-friendly snacks
🥜 Non-perishable foods

Every donation, big or small, helps stock their shelves and ensure community members have access to healthy food when they need it most.

Yesterday, our team at Centerpoint had the opportunity to participate in PACE’s Keeping Youth Safe in a Digital World presentation and what an eye‑opening, informative session it was.

We deeply appreciate the knowledge, insight, and practical tools shared with us. As technology continues to evolve, so does our responsibility to understand the digital spaces our youth navigate every day. Trainings like this help strengthen our ability to support, protect, and empower the young people in our community.

🌟 We’re Hiring! Community Support Worker – Just Enough Supports Program 🌟

Centerpoint Facilitation’s Just Enough Supports Program is looking for a compassionate, community‑minded Community Support Worker to join our team!

In this role, you’ll work 1:1 with individuals in the community, supporting them as they:
• Access community resources
• Build skills for independent living
• Increase confidence and overall independence

We’re looking for someone who is patient, empowering, and passionate about helping people thrive in their own communities.

Requirements:
• Criminal Record Check & Child Welfare Check
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships
• Commitment to person‑centered, strengths‑based support

🥔 POTATO GIVEAWAY! 🥔

Helping Hands Pantry received a HUGE allotment of potatoes, and we want to make sure they get into the hands of anyone who can use them!

Even if you are not currently a shopper of Helping Hands Pantry, you are more than welcome to stop by and pick some up — take as many as you can use!

📍 Pick up times:
• Tuesday, May 26th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm
• Wednesday, May 27th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm

We will add additional days this week if we still have potatoes 🥔!

Please help us spread the word to friends, family, neighbours, or anyone who may benefit. Food is meant to be shared, and we would love to see these potatoes go to good homes! 💚
