First Pass Oilfield Contracting Inc. is looking to fill the role of Forestry Supervisor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Forestry Supervisor will work as part of our team meeting the needs of our customers. This individual must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment and have strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, have the ability to work in a variety of work environments and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
· Daily Supervision of forest operations, including road building, harvesting and log hauling
· Block openings
· Harvest Planning
· Quality Control with harvest
· Follow Safety Program (near misses, meetings, environmental)
· Assist with Safety Audits with government and customers
· Working with government and customers for approvals
· Mapping/GIS
· Supervision of log haul
· Organizing equipment, lowbed and mechanic for harvest and haul operations
Qualifications:
· Have a University Degree or College Diploma in forestry or equivalent experience
· Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of supervision in harvest operations
· Experience with Microsoft office, GPS technology and GIS Systems

Duties include assisting with maintenance of log trucks & trailers as well as forestry & construction equipment. We offer year-round employment, competitive wages, and benefits. The successful candidate will report to our Journeyman Mechanic. Truck experience would be an asset. Must pass pre-employment testing, have valid drivers license and drivers abstract.
