Over the past few weeks, we've started sharing the stories behind Old Soul Soap Company — the good, the challenging, and the moments that helped shape who we are today.
Our newest post tells the story of how OSSC finally moved out of our house and into our first retail location in 2020.
For years, I kept telling Trevor that we needed to move the business out of the basement.
For years, Trevor kept saying:
"One more year."
Eventually, we found a small strip mall unit close to home, signed the lease, and began renovating in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. We opened with curbside pickup on June 20, 2020, hired our first employee, and learned more about running a business than we ever imagined.
Looking back at photos of that empty storefront, it's amazing to see how far we've come.
