Feeling anxious in high-pressure moments isn't the problem. The real issue is believing you shouldn't feel anxious or trying to suppress it, which paradoxically intensifies it. Anxiety arises because you care about your performance. Athletes aiming for international competitions or the Olympics shouldn't strive for a lack of nerves; they should accept that anxiety is a normal, expected part of caring deeply.
