🍯🐝 TEAM CANADA TAKES 2ND PLACE AT IMYB! 🇨🇦 🐝🍯
We’re thrilled to celebrate some amazing results from the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers (IMYB), held in Northern Ireland this July!
The event brought together 79 young beekeepers from 26 countries to compete in a variety of beekeeping knowledge and skills challenges.
🇨🇦 Team Canada was proudly represented by:
Madeline Shea — Bethany, Ontario
Charles Schulz — Norwood, Ontario
Bridget Matthews — Truro, Nova Scotia
And we couldn’t be more proud to share that Team Canada placed 2nd overall! 🥈🇨🇦
This incredible achievement reflects the tremendous time, effort, dedication, and passion these young beekeepers put into preparing for the competition. But IMYB was about so much more than competition—it was an unforgettable opportunity to build friendships, experience new cultures, and expand their beekeeping knowledge and skills.
The Auctioneers Association of Ontario is proud to have supported Team Canada!
Our generous contribution helped make this invaluable experience possible, and we are honored to play a small part in supporting the next generation of beekeepers.
Congratulations to Madeline, Charles, Bridget, and the entire Team Canada delegation on this outstanding accomplishment!
🇹🇷 Looking Ahead to 2027!
The next IMYB will be held in Türkiye in 2027, and preparations are already underway to assemble the next Team Canada.
Know a young beekeeper who might be interested in representing Canada? We’d love to hear from you!
Congratulations, Team Canada! 🇨🇦🐝🥈
