The launch of Canada Summer Jobs is approaching!

The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program will launch its annual call for applications on October 27, 2026. The call will close on December 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Don’t risk missing the deadline. Prepare now to apply for CSJ funding!

Are you ready to provide quality work experiences for youth?

Are you ready to provide opportunities for youth to develop and improve their skills?

Are you ready to respond to national and local priorities to help improve access to the job market for youth who face unique barriers?

Prepare to apply

Before applying, make sure your organization is eligible for funding by consulting the Who Can Apply section of the CSJ webpage.

Not-for-profit employers may receive funding of up to 100% of the provincial or territorial minimum wage, while public and private sector employers are eligible for funding of up to 50%.

Before you apply, carefully review the Prepare to apply section of the Applicant Guide and the Articles of Agreement. These webpages provide the requirements for CSJ 2027 and its latest updates.

Important: To be eligible for CSJ funding, your organization must have been in operation for a minimum of 2 years at the time of application. Organizations that had a successful funding agreement under CSJ 2026 and have been in operation for less than 2 years may be considered for an exemption.

How to apply

Use your Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS) account to apply during the CSJ 2027 call for applications.

If you do not have a GCOS account, register today by visiting the Grants and Contributions Online Services webpage and be ready to apply for CSJ 2027 this October! Creating a GCOS account is a one-time process.

Using GCOS makes the process faster and easier. GCOS simplifies the application process by giving you quick access to your application and project information in one place.

With GCOS, you can:

Save your application as a draft and return to it at any time before submitting.
Submit your application instantly online.
Track the status of your application in real time.
Manage your project information in one secure location.
Submit CSJ documents electronically, eliminating the need for paper submissions.
Read the GCOS User guide to learn how to create and use your account.

Starting in 2028, GCOS will be the only online platform for CSJ applications. Create your GCOS account today and get a head start!
