It was our honour to attend the Rural Atlantic Pride Retreat this weekend hosted by the Truro Pride Society. It was incredibly meaningful for us to secure this funding on their behalf, to offer our guidance and support throughout the project, to see it become fully realized, and then to present to those in attendance about grant writing. These rural pride organizations do incredible work!

We may have been a little quiet lately but that's only because we've been so incredibly busy! This is shaping up to be our busiest year yet! Here's what we've been up to since the Spring on behalf of our clients...

- Managing a $336,000 multi-year funding budget in support of the local 2SLGBTQIA+ community!
- Securing $12,000 to sustain local Pride Week festivities!
- Securing $150,000 in support of the local business community and tourism sector!
- Developing governance and operational policy and procedures in support of those experiencing food insecurity in local communities!
- Conducting performance review processes for both employees and volunteer Board of Directors!
- Completing a comprehensive program evaluation for a $200,000 provincially funded program!
- Presenting on how organizations can apply for registered charitable status!
- Facilitating a SWOT exercise to develop a strategic long-term sustainability plan!

WE SECURED…

- $335,797 in funding for Pride event expansion initiatives in rural communities across the Maritime region, now totalling over $443,000 in new revenues for our non-profit clients in 2024!

OUR IMPACT…

- Hosted the Fall edition of the Truro Pride Society’s Quarterly Brunch networking event for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies, the 3rd quarterly event hosted in 2024!
- Met with representatives from Nova Scotia Health to discuss how local communities can provide enhanced diversity, equity and inclusion services!
- Met with representatives from the Federal Government to discuss issues pertaining to gender equality, having met with all 3 levels of government in 2024!
- Welcomed two new clients into our Tailored family who specialize in welcoming newcomers and economic development within the region, totalling 9 new clients in 2024!
- Completed our 5th operational, by-law and governance review for our clients in 2024!
- Participated in 12 advocacy, education, awareness and visibility initiatives in support of vulnerable communities within the non-profit sector!
