🔹🔹 Point of Order:
Can Trump annex Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal? Can he expel Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza?
The clear answer: No.
But does that mean that merely discussing these ideas is without effect? Also no.
What Trump and Netanyahu are doing is not just political nonsense; it is a calculated strategic manipulation that relies on creating a false reality in which impossible ideas become debatable and unfeasible projects appear as plausible scenarios.
This is not improvised policy; it is a calculated method inspired by political and media theories that aim to reshape public consciousness and push opponents into defensive positions rather than keeping them on the offensive.
Let’s understand how their discourse works:
1️⃣ First, the Smoke and Mirrors theory: its goal is to turn illusion into media reality.
This strategy relies on generating a massive media uproar about something unreal, aiming to distract attention or achieve undisclosed objectives.
🔹 How is it used here?
• Repeated talk about expelling Palestinians despite its impracticality is not because anyone believes it can happen, but to make people engage with it as a topic of discussion rather than rejecting it outright.
• Turning the issue of Israel's military failure in Gaza into a discussion about (where will the Palestinians go?) as if their departure is inevitable and the disagreement is merely about the destination!
• Making the targeted countries (Egypt, Jordan, Gulf countries) appear as if they are negotiating some deal instead of fundamentally rejecting the idea.
🔹 What’s the result?
• The public begins to treat expulsion as a (proposed) idea while it is a war crime that is impossible to implement.
• Arab and international parties are forced to issue denials and clarifications, putting them in a defensive position, and granting the narrative false credibility.
• The debate shifts from (should the Israeli aggression be stopped?) to (what alternatives are available for the Palestinians?), which is precisely the real goal behind this deception..
Let’s continue..
2️⃣ Second, the Flood the Zone theory: its goal is to control through chaos.
This strategy relies on flooding media and public opinion with a barrage of statements and decisions, regardless of their reality, to control the political narrative.
🔹 How do Trump and Netanyahu use it?
• Trump issues repeated statements about (grand plans) such as expulsion, building walls, imposing sanctions, and banning countries, even though he knows they are impractical.
• The goal: to confuse the media and opponents, making it impossible to respond to all his statements or expose his contradictions.
• Netanyahu, politically besieged due to the failure of the war, relies on unleashing massive and repeated threats, not because he can execute them, but to keep everyone in a state of (reaction) rather than focusing on his crimes and failures.
🔹 What’s the result?
• The media and the public find themselves forced to chase down new statements instead of focusing on the fundamental truths: Israel has militarily failed, and Trump is maneuvering for media leverage.
• The louder the noise, the easier it becomes to pass dangerous decisions amidst the chaos.
3️⃣ Third, the Manufacturing Consent theory: its goal? Repetition creates acceptance.
This strategy involves repeatedly presenting ideas until they become familiar, and thus less shocking, and more indirectly acceptable.
🔹 How does this happen?
• Months ago, the talk about expelling Palestinians was intense, but now, due to the repetition of statements, it is discussed in the media as one of several options.
• It’s not just about repetition, but about flooding the zone with the same idea from multiple angles: American statements, Israeli threats, media leaks, strategic analyses, until it seems like an unavoidable reality.
• This method was previously used in the war on Iraq, where weapons of mass destruction shifted from a lie to a pretext for war due to intense repetition.
🔹 What’s the result?
• Expulsion becomes an idea placed on the table, even if the Arab and international rejection of it is strong.
• The discussion shifts from is this possible? to what is the best way to execute it?.. which is precisely what Trump and Netanyahu are aiming for.
⚠️ Conclusion:
What’s happening is very dangerous, but it’s not a reason for panic; it’s a reason for a firm and resolute stance that not only rejects discussing these ideas but also refuses to treat them as legitimate discussion points.
🔹 The greatest danger is not Trump and Netanyahu’s ability to implement their plans, but their ability to make people treat them as plausible.
🔹 It is not only necessary to reject the idea but also to refuse to even discuss it as a political option.
🔹 Avoid falling into the traps of conflicting statements and media maneuvering, and focus on the fundamental truth: all of this is merely a trick to divert attention from the failures of the occupation and create false political pressures.
🚨 Remember:
• Threats are not plans, but pressure tactics. What Trump and Netanyahu want is to turn the impossible into possibilities, and this is what must be fought against by exposing media manipulation.
