Experience Ventures lets you work with real companies, tackle real challenges and earn honorariums up to $850 while you build skills that actually matter. With a placement fit for every student, schedule and interest, you will gain hands-on experience, grow your network and leave with stories that stand out on your resume.

Eligibility:
• Enrolled undergraduate student at a Canadian post-secondary institution
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada
• You may only participate in one Experience Ventures placement at a time

Build your startup ideas, connect with experts and local entrepreneurs and be one of 10 teams to compete for a $10,000 grand prize this fall.

Join our 10-week program and take advantage of training opportunities, weekly activities and experiential learning opportunities.

Eligibility:
- Must be a current or enrolled Saint Mary’s student.
- Must have a 3 member team comprised of 1 science, 1 art and 1 commerce student (we can accommodate this for you).
- Must have a business idea no older than 1 year.
- Your business idea must not have more than $8,000 total in prize money, funding or investment.
- You have not won the Innovation Cup before.

When: Sept 24 – Nov 26, 2026 (every Thursday)
Where: Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre (SH 212A)

Innovation Sprints are a short, focused event, that brings a business and keen, creative students together to generate ideas and solutions to real business problems.

Compete for up to $2,000 in total prizes while gaining hands-on experience solving real-world business challenges. You'll build valuable professional connections and make a direct impact on the success of local businesses.

Eligibility:
• Must a Resident of Canada or be allowed to stay, study or work in Canada
• Must be a current student from any faculty (Science, Arts or Commerce) and any university in Atlantic Canada
• Must compete as team of minimum 3 members and maximum 4 members (you can form teams at the event if you sign up individually)
