A quiet moment for Connor Haynes here at Takoda.

What happens around the horses often says a lot before anyone puts words to it.

How someone pauses.

Sassy is changing fast.

Her colour, her size, and her personality are all starting to come through — and yes, she still lives up to her name.

She still has her bold little moments, but she is also learning. She picks up her feet, has had her first farrier trim, and is beginning to understand the difference between playing with another horse and being respectful with humans.

That is part of the work here too: clear communication, healthy boundaries, trust, and learning what is being asked.

Sassy is growing into herself, one lesson at a time.

I asked ChatGPT to create a sketchbook page that captured who I am from just a handful of photos... and it's surprisingly close.
It picked up on my love of horses and animals, family, building and creating, and the fact that I'm always looking for ways to help people see themselves—and each other—a little more clearly. That's exactly what we do at Takoda every day.
The only thing it completely missed? The coffee. 😂 Anyone who knows me knows I can't stand the stuff.
It got me thinking... if AI can pick up patterns from a few photos, imagine what our horses notice in just a few minutes. They don't judge, they simply reflect what's really there—and that's where the real learning begins.
So... how do you think it did? Did it capture me?
