A great lunchroom is more than a place to eat—it's where teams connect, recharge, and build culture.

One of the most rewarding transformations in this commercial project was turning a dark, outdated lunchroom into a bright, welcoming space that employees genuinely want to use.
The original space felt closed in and carried more of an evening club atmosphere than a workplace gathering space. It no longer reflected the company's culture or supported the way the team interacted throughout the day.

Our vision was to create an environment that felt light, inviting, modern, and true to the company's brand. By introducing brighter finishes, incorporating the company's colours, and improving the overall layout and lighting, we completely changed the look and feel of the space.
The result is a lunchroom designed to bring people together. Whether it's enjoying a morning coffee, sharing lunch with colleagues, or gathering for an informal team meeting, the space now encourages connection while comfortably accommodating multiple people at once.

Thoughtful workplace design extends beyond offices and boardrooms. Creating spaces where employees can relax, collaborate, and recharge is just as important as designing where they work.

Because when people enjoy the spaces they're in, it strengthens workplace culture, boosts collaboration, and creates an environment where teams can thrive.

Why site visits matter.

Great design doesn't happen behind a desk alone. It begins with understanding the space, the people who use it, and the details that can't always be captured through drawings or photographs.

Site visits allow our team to experience a space firsthand—understanding the flow, natural light, existing conditions, challenges, and opportunities that will shape the final design.
And while site photos may not always be the prettiest images you see, they are some of the most important. Many are captured during construction, in the middle of the process, when spaces are unfinished, materials are being installed, and the transformation is still underway.

These photos aren't taken for the final reveal—they are captured to document progress, communicate with clients and trades, confirm details, solve challenges, and ensure the project is moving in the right direction.

Site visits help us:
✨ Identify details that may not be visible in plans
✨ Confirm measurements and existing conditions
✨ Understand how people move through and interact with a space
✨ Collaborate with contractors and trades to keep everyone aligned
✨ Make informed decisions that improve both function and design

Every project has its own story, and being on-site allows us to understand that story before creating solutions.

The finished space is the result of countless decisions, conversations, adjustments, and moments of problem-solving that happen along the way.

Every great commercial space starts with a vision—and this project was no exception.

We're proud to showcase the transformation of a former residential home into the new headquarters for LuminWay Financial in the heart of downtown Guelph.

While the finished space feels seamless, converting a home into a functional commercial office is a complex process. Beyond thoughtful design, it requires careful planning, engineering, and coordination to ensure the building meets all applicable commercial building codes and municipal regulations.

Our goal was to preserve the character and charm of the original home while creating a professional, welcoming environment that supports LuminWay Financial's team, clients, and future growth. The result is a space that blends functionality, compliance, and timeless design.

Projects like this are a reminder that great design is about more than aesthetics—it's about solving challenges, respecting the integrity of a building, and creating spaces that work beautifully for the people who use them every day.

We're excited to welcome this incredible new commercial project to our portfolio!

Every commercial space has a story, and this one was an opportunity to create a workplace that is both functional and reflective of the company's legacy.

Working alongside the team, we introduced several architectural features that transformed the space, including relocating the main staircase to improve flow, incorporating a patterned glass wall to create separation between the offices and atrium while maintaining natural light, and designing a custom coved wall and ceiling feature in the boardroom to add warmth and sophistication.

One of the most meaningful elements of the project was celebrating Roberts OnSite's deep roots in the Kitchener-Waterloo community. With their long-standing history in the region, we thoughtfully curated a feature wall showcasing project photography and community involvement. Designed to evolve over time, the display allows their story to continue growing alongside the company.

Great design goes beyond aesthetics—it's about creating spaces that reflect a company's values, celebrate its history, and inspire the people who work there every day.

We are so excited to see this unique space come to life, with whimsical surprises tucked into every corner. The warm, inviting atmosphere encourages guests to slow down, curl up with a good book, write a poem, or simply enjoy a quiet moment.

Whether you're meeting a friend for coffee or unwinding with a glass of wine, this cozy retreat was designed for connection, creativity, and community.

A Space Designed for Creativity, Beauty, and Connection

Inspired by the free-spirited essence of Boho design, this salon was created as an airy, eclectic space where artistic expression can thrive—with beautiful hair at the heart of it all.

Our client's vision was to create a welcoming environment that felt both inspiring and relaxing. To achieve this, we incorporated light colours, carefully selected cool lighting to ensure hair colours are seen accurately, and layered earthy textures with organic elements throughout the space.

The result is a warm, inviting atmosphere that offers clients a moment of escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life while providing stylists with a functional and inspiring space to create.

Thoughtful design is about more than aesthetics—it's about creating an experience that reflects the personality of the brand and the people who use it every day.
