A change in plans gave us the chance to dial in a new piece of equipment.
We’ve often had to attach lifting lines to submerged oversized chain links or concrete block staples, which works fine — but having the option to simply clip on a large carabiner is a much cleaner setup. This one has a 2.25” mouth opening, a swl of 6300lbs and is light enough for our manipulator to grip tightly.
Slick attachment means faster, more reliable recoveries.
