Red Heart really has my heart.

We’ve been busy this week pressing our Red Heart apples. These apples hold the colour & flavour for our Posie cider and we’ll save a little bit for a new vintage in our Single Varietal line.

Harvest time always is always an optimistic time as we bring in fruit with new sugars, new acids, new tannins and watch them transform into new cider releases.

Beautiful day to pick some apples!

Did you know that all of our ciders are made with estate grown apples, handpicked by our crew? We select which varieties and blocks, wait for the sugars to develop before harvesting the fruit.

If you stop by the cidery in the coming weeks, you can taste these apples fresh and compare them to our finished ciders.

We’ve had Red Heart planted since 2021 but their cross-section still amazes us.

As we get closer to harvest, we begin checking in on the fruit. We add making sure the sugars are developing, starch is disappearing and for the fruit we press; the pressure is good enough to extract juice.

Red Heart is the beginning of apple harvest, often picking the first few days of August.

We can’t wait to see what the 2026 vintage brings us.

Did you know that all of our ciders are grown right on our farm?

This year’s harvest is getting closer (maybe a bit too quickly). The 3 inches of rain we got on the weekend are letting our apples size up nicely. We’ll be pressing before you know it!!

We are growing our cider team and looking for a new member to join us this season.

Our sip specialist should be:
✨ Enthusiastic about our region, delicious cider and homegrown fruits and vegetables. Eager to learn about the farm & ciders
✨Friendly, outgoing, positive and confident personality
✨Self-motivated, takes initiative and reliable
✨Available for 1-2 shifts per week with at least one on the weekend. Shifts will be from July through November. Opportunity for more shifts in September and October

Sip Specialists typically
🥂 Lead guided tastings of our hard ciders
🥂Serve glasses of cider
🥂Help customers with retail sales at the farm or at the cidery
🥂Check people out using our POS system of cash
🥂Recommend other businesses to enjoy in the region
🥂Restock product as needed
🥂Help with other tasks as needed

Candidates must have transportation to and from our farm and willing to get their Smart Serve (if not already certified).

If you’d like to join our small but fun, welcoming team, please drop your resume off at the cidery.
