Skeena Energy Solutions was launched in 2013 as a result of several proposals for gas and oil pipelines that would put our wild salmon economy and healthy watersheds at risk. So rather than just opposing bad development, SWCC decided to propose good development. Skeena Energy Solutions is a grass-roots initiative aimed at finding alternative ways to produce and c

onserve electricity, fuel, and heat in our region in ways that will sustain northern cultures, local economies, and the watersheds they depend on. We are the people who live here and as such, we are left with the consequences, both negative and positive, of development. Skeena Energy Solutions is an initiative aimed at educating and employing people with the many options of energy production and conservation in our region, and empowering communities to be their own shareholders of their energy future.
