Mammoth is heading to the 4th Annual Mining Vehicle Powertrain Conference (MVPC) 2026, hosted by MDEC, at the Four Points Sheraton in Mississauga, Ontario, October 6-8, 2026.

We’re proud to share that Ralph Deayton, Product Category Manager, will be presenting: “The Underground Emissions Balancing Act: Ventilation, DPFs and NO₂” on Tues., Oct. 6 at 1:00 pm.

Underground mine ventilation plays a critical role in protecting workers by diluting diesel exhaust, but it can also limit equipment utilization and impact production. Ralph’s presentation will examine how retrofit diesel particulate filters (DPFs) can influence the emissions profile and ventilation requirements of Tier 2 and Tier 3 engines, particularly when original CANMET certification did not include aftertreatment.

“Installed them 3 years ago - No issues.”

That was the feedback from a North American maintenance supervisor whose site transitioned its CAT 793F fleet to Mammoth Flex Bellows.

The objective was straightforward: achieve longer service life from a component that had been wearing out too quickly.

Mammoth’s replacement Flex Bellows are manufactured using heavy-duty, multi-ply stainless steel with U-shaped convolutions designed to accommodate movement in demanding mining applications.
