Another wonderful project we had the privilege of being involved and donated to was the Cow Moose Project. This educational and moose population restorative project was explained to the Metis Settlement General Council by the Alberta Professional Outfitters at a conference at River Cree September 16. One of the outcomes was a connection made to a Moose Hunting Camp (where 30 students plus many elementary and junior high) from Elizabeth Settlement. The students have been receiving instruction on responsible moose harvesting from a private group of concerned residents for the last couple years. With collaboration with APOS, further education and funding opportunities are available. The camp has now secured APOS funding for their camp and other bands and settlements are encouraged to be a part of the program.

Amazing project for this years Truth and Reconciliation Day. I had the amazing opportunity to be a contributor and supplier. The project will be a lasting roadside stop near the Mclennan Hospital for those to learn and reflect.
