Trail Estate Winery Minimalist small-batch wines in Prince Edward County. Pure Terroir. Honest Winemaking. All our wines are fermented wild and unfiltered. We ship across Canada.

OPEN DAILY. Situated in Hillier, Ontario, Trail Estate Winery is one of the newest wineries in Prince Edward County. Our focus on small batch = a focus on site, craft, and character. Currently open Wed, Thurs & Sun 11-5, Fri & Sat 11-6. We make minimalist wines. Period. That means Wild Ferments for everything, Skin Contact wines, obscure (but delicious) barrel ferments and Pét Nat among others. Most of our wines rate 90+, 'cause why wouldn't they? We mostly make wine from Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc plus have a soft spot for funky hybrids!

Reasons we love this w**e are many: Grapes showed amazing concentration, beautiful flavours and great retention of acidity.⁠
The oak is integrated with and the nose shifts between layers of flinty minerality, fresh citrus and oyster shells.⁠
