Baffinland’s 2026 Student Scholarship Program is now open and accepting applications! We are proud to offer five scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each. Those scholarships will be awarded to the top five applicants, with priority given to the following educational areas:

• Marine & Environmental Studies
• Geology and Engineering
• Health & Wellness
• Education & Management Studies
• Business Administration

2025 APRF Elder and Youth delegate interest list

We are pleased to share that Baffinland and the Qikiqtani Inuit Assoc. (QIA) will co-host the Mary River Annual Project Review Forum (APRF) in Arctic Bay from October 21-23, 2025.

The APRF is an opportunity to discuss various topics related to the Mary River Project and the surrounding communities. One of the many benefits of the Inuit Impact Benefit Agreement (IIBA), the forum gives community representatives a chance to ask questions, and comment on Baffinland’s operation, such as mitigation and monitoring programs, and to make recommendations for overall Project improvements. Members of the QIA and Baffinland’s IIBA Implementation teams will be in attendance to make presentations and receive feedback.

Baffinland and the QIA are currently seeking youth and elder delegates, from the communities of Arctic Bay, Clyde River, Igloolik, Pond Inlet and Sanirajak to participate in this year’s APRF. Youth delegates must be between 18 and 30 years old and Elders must be 55 or older. If you’re interested in participating, please contact your Baffinland Community Liaison Officer (BCLO) or your local QIA Community Liaison Officer no later than Wednesday, September 24th.
