Exciting news — Premier Gas Services has a new website!

For anyone who doesn’t know me, my name is Glen Pretty. I’m the owner/operator of Premier Gas Services, and I’ve spent over 12 years in the HVAC and gas fitting trade, including nearly 10 years working with Reliance Home Comfort before taking on my own business full-time.

I’m proud to continue building Premier Gas Services into a trusted local company serving Ingersoll, Woodstock, Oxford County, and surrounding areas.

This week could have gone very differently for a family.

Their carbon monoxide alarm went off, and thankfully they trusted their gut and Alishea messaged me. When I arrived, I measured 16–20 ppm of CO coming through their vents. After testing the furnace, I confirmed the heat exchanger was cracked, causing dangerous combustion issues.

The furnace was condemned Friday night at 7:30pm, and by 10am Saturday morning, they had a safe, new system being installed.

Carbon monoxide is silent. No smell. No warning signs. Just danger.
That little alarm on the wall likely prevented something far worse.

Please check your CO alarms. Make sure you have one on every floor. It’s one of the simplest things you can do to protect your family.

Please make sure your furnace, water heater, Gas meter and dryer vents are kept clear of snow and ice outside your home. Blocked vents can cause appliances to shut down and create safety concerns.

Snow and ice must be kept clear from your gas meter and exhaust vents.

Blocked vents can cause:
⚠️ Furnace shutdowns
⚠️ Carbon monoxide buildup
⚠️ No heat when you need it most

👉 Keep at least 3 feet clear around meters and vents at all times.
