After a long and stressful almost 4 months of chaos, I’m happy to say I’m slowly settling into a new place and in general, finally.
There’s been a lot that has happened since May and without going into too much detail, I finally walked away from an 8 year relationship and I have stepped into a relationship with my best friend of 12 years. To say I’m grateful, is an understatement of the century. However, with this, comes some huge life changes that I’m currently working through and navigating.

I’m still living two hours away and will be for the foreseeable future, I have no plans of returning to Barrie or the area anytime soon. I’m working hard to get my ducks in a row now and will communicate this further as time goes on.
Pet memorials will also slowly resume from here, I will be sending updates asap.

The wet specimen workshop has officially been sorted out and rescheduled for the beginning of October and I will be sending an email out to those who signed up. I really appreciate the patience throughout this time as it’s been a rough few months trying to get everything sorted out on my end. The location will be in Thornton, so therefore, the drive won’t be two hours for most of those who signed up!

Onto the fun part; due to not working for so long, I’m in a tight spot financially, admittedly, and I will be posting some items for sale at a discounted rate. Pickup is no longer available within Barrie unless you’re willing to wait until my next trip down, as I go down fairly frequently to visit my sister. I’m now located close to the Lindsay area, if there’s anyone nearby who would like to pickup orders directly. Shipping is still available, however!

Again, I would like to say the BIGGEST thank you to those who have continued to remain patient and understanding with me. I’ve missed working more than I could ever say and I’m really looking forward to diving head first back into it - at a reasonably pace, of course.

Life update, please read:
Over the past month, I have suddenly made a really big move from living in Barrie to the Kawartha Lakes area. This move happened within only a few days, right before oddities and curiosities. At this time, my family will be staying with my husband’s family until we can find a place of our own. We had hoped we had something lined up for June 1st and sadly, that fell through.
This means, all of my business is staying with my family just outside of Barrie until I can move it with me, as we do not have the space and our living situation is very different now.
Everything is a bit complicated for the time being. Somedays, I’ve felt as though I’m drowning in the changes, but I’m grateful to have an amazing support system throughout it all.

As we continue to search for a place, I will be unable to work to the extent that I was before, as I’m living almost two hours away from my supplies and stock and I currently don’t have a vehicle to go back and forth - hoping to work this out asap.

I still have my physical location at The 400 Market (my husbands been driving me), however, it’s highly unlikely I will be restocking over the month of June.

Going forward; I will not be accepting new pet memorial intakes or commissions for the foreseeable future as I work through this and get back on track with the pets that are currently in my care.
I appreciate those who have had patience and understanding throughout this. It’s been a big adjustment all around.

Oxidized savannah monitor babe 🦎
This handsome boy is currently pinned and drying to get ready to head home, as well as travel with his owner as they own and run a reptile education show. I couldn’t be more excited to get him sent back home!
The oxidation process tends to be more difficult once they’re at this size, I’ve come to realize, so the outcome of the whole process, is incredibly rewarding to see!
