As we head into Thanksgiving long weekend, we're grateful for the clients who trust us with their most critical parts, the team who shows up every day, and the community of Kahnawà:ke that grounds everything we do.

This week we were pleased to host the Minister of Industry, Mélanie Joly and MP Jacques Ramsay at our facilities in Kahnawà:ke, QC. They took time to speak with our incredible 80% First Nation workforce, listened to our experiences and ideas, and took a genuine interest in how advanced manufacturing companies like ours can make Canada stronger and better.

They learned about parts we make that go to space to advance Canadian space innovation programs. We showed them devices we manufacture to enable complex surgeries that showcase Canada's medtech sector. And they held LaFlesche components that go to the depths of the ocean to support Canadian marine research.

And at every step they saw how all this is being done by a prouldy Indigenous company creating skilled First Nations jobs on-territory in our local community.

This represents the first visit LaFlesche has had from federal government officials, and was a meaningful exchange. We hope all levels of government and industry, from all political viewpoints, will feel welcome to visit us. Together we can strengthen Industrial reconciliation and support Canada's domestic manufacturing sector.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, LaFlesche honours the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, their families, and Indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

As an Indigenous-owned company rooted on territory, we know reconciliation is more than a single day. It requires listening, learning, remembering, and creating meaningful opportunities for Indigenous Peoples and communities.
