Road trip coming to a close today.
Stopping in Quesnel on the way home.
The trip never disappoints. And then something new.
One of the unsung dangers of using scissors is the bumper. That little bit of plastic / rubber between the thumb and finger holes.
They can fall out which allows the blades to cross and are a real danger to your fingers and your client.
Had this happen to a client. But Her scissors had the BEST bush fix I’ve seen in a while.
Fully functional with what was available.
A screw (with the correct thread) then silicone to absorb the shock on closing. Not pretty but a brilliant option.
My hats off to the fixer. You do what you have to do.
And Yes, I removed it and fixed it.
Hint. - use blue thread locker or nail glue to stop them from falling out.
