Big news for Kamloops manufacturing 👏
Two local companies, Axis Forestry Inc. and Kamloops Precision Machining have secured nearly $1.6 million in federal funding through PacifiCan’s Regional Tariff Response Initiative.
Axis Forestry received $590,000 to adapt its harvesting equipment and reach new international markets, while Kamloops Precision Machining received $1 million to add advanced laser coating technology and expand its capabilities.
These investments are about more than responding to trade pressures they are supporting growth, innovation, productivity, new markets, and skilled jobs right here in Kamloops.
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative is currently accepting applications from eligible businesses, with funding available for projects focused on productivity, supply-chain resilience, and market diversification.
