🚨 WE’RE HIRING JUNIOR ESTIMATOR 🚨
Nadeau Haulage & Excavation Inc. is looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our growing team in Kapuskasing.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in construction and project estimating who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career with our company. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we want someone who is ready to grow alongside our team.
The successful candidate will support our estimating team with:
✔ Reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
✔ Assisting with material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor takeoffs
✔ Obtaining and organizing supplier and subcontractor pricing
✔ Supporting the preparation of estimates, tenders, proposals, and bid submissions
✔ Maintaining organized estimating files and project documentation
✔ Tracking tender deadlines and helping ensure submissions are complete
✔ Working closely with management, project managers, supervisors, and field personnel
✔ Attending site visits and pre-bid meetings when required
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
✔ Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and calculations
✔ Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
✔ Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
✔ Construction or heavy civil experience is considered an asset
✔ Experience reading construction drawings is considered an asset
✔ Estimating experience is considered an asset
💰 Starting salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience
