A solar panel's efficiency rating tells you how well it converts sunlight into electricity. Most panels on the market today are between 20–23%.
That 2-3% difference might sound small — but over 25 years, on a full roof system, it adds up to thousands of kilowatt hours.

The efficiency rating matters when choosing panels.

The temperature coefficient (panels lose output in extreme heat — this number tells you how much).
The product warranty vs. the performance warranty.

Most people don't know this...

But the utility interconnection process is one of the biggest reasons Solar projects get delayed.

After your system is install, it has to be approved by the utility company.

That approval requires specific documents, a proper application and in some cases more.

If your Solar company doesn't handle this properly, you can be left with a system that's either not on at all, or not giving you credit for your excess power. Either way, you lose.

It's one of the things we manage for every single customer at Future West Solar.

A system that's installed but not running is doing any good for your electricity bill.
