👣 Today is World Prematurity Day, and I’m thinking of all the incredible preemies I’ve had the honor to care for over the years in the NICU and beyond. Being trusted to watch over these little ones, especially when their parents couldn’t be at the hospital, is a privilege I’ll always hold close to my heart. These tiny fighters show us the strength of the human spirit, even in the smallest of bodies and their resilience is inspiring. Here’s to every preemie and every family I’ve met along the way—you inspire me more than words can say. ❤️

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience while I’ve taken a little time to catch my breath. Life has a way of throwing some unexpected punches, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the saddle soon.

👶 Breastfeeding is a deeply special experience for many mothers and their babies, but it can often come with challenges. I witness this firsthand in my other workplace all the time, which is why breastfeeding support is a key service we offer at NeoNest.

Studies show that proper support and education can significantly extend breastfeeding duration in healthy, full-term infants.

From October 1-7, we celebrate National Breastfeeding Week in Canada. Let’s honor this amazing gift by offering encouragement and support to anyone who is currently breastfeeding or plans to in the future.

And I want to I honor and respect mothers who are unable to breastfeed, recognizing that many factors can influence breastfeeding or milk production. At the end of the day, fed is best!! 👶 Bottle-feeding can be just as intimate and meaningful, creating a strong bond between parents and their babies.

The only exception is if there is a concern for you or your baby’s safety, in which case I am obligated to involve your healthcare team for the appropriate care.
