Happy Sunday! A note that we are closing early today, October 4th, for a private event this afternoon. Our last seatings for tastings will be at 3pm, with the w**e shop closing at 3:30pm.

Regular business hours of 11am to 6pm daily return tomorrow and run all Thanksgiving long weekend. Thank you for understanding. ☺️

It’s hard for us to believe we picked the last clusters of fruit from our home acreage here in the East Kelowna Slopes yesterday — marking the earliest wrap to harvest we’ve ever seen at our site! 🌪️

In typical Riesling lovers’ form, we ended with some beautiful bins of this noble variety from our “Block 3” —21-year-old vines situated right in front of the w**ery. To all the visiting guests who were sending waves and signs of encouragement as we crossed the finish line - thank you! ❤️

We still have a couple of parcels to receive from our grower partners in Osoyoos, and a proper harvest check-in with Vineyard Manager Scott Woody to come, but in the meantime, our growing team is looking forward to celebrating this weekend!

This Wednesday, September 30th, our tasting room will be open, with all tasting fees from the day donated to the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society supporting their important community programming. Our office and warehouse will be closed.

For our international followers, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation acknowledges the lasting impact of Canada’s residential schools, honours Survivors and their families, and reflects on the ongoing work of reconciliation and the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It’s an important day of reflection in our turbulent world. 🧡

We are grateful to live and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people, who have stewarded this beautiful land since time immemorial.

We are also fortunate to have the work of Tahltan-Tlingit artist and cultural leader Dempsey Bob throughout our w**ery. His work has been part of Tantalus since our inception, and the stories and history held within it are an important part of our identity and a reminder of the deep Indigenous history of British Columbia and Canada.

We don’t talk about our w**e club all that often online we’ve realized, but folks have been asking here a lot lately - and yes, we do have a w**e club! Two in fact! ☺️

Traditionally our clubs have been a quieter offering for us, slowly built around a community of people who enjoy what we make and like having a little Tantalus on hand to explore and share throughout the year.

With the official start of autumn under our belts, it feels like a good time to share the two ways to bring a touch more Tantalus to your supper table over the cozy months ahead.

📦 Both tiers include 10% off w**e purchases, complimentary tastings, and priority access and pricing for Tantalus events.

🥂 Taste of Tantalus is our twice-yearly offering, with a mixed case selected by Dave and team arriving in the spring and again in the fall. We take care of the shipping across Canada and include a little epicurean gift with each shipment. Sometimes when the timing is right, a rare library release makes it into the mix as well.

🍂 Seasons of Tantalus offers three smaller shipments of 6 bottles throughout the year, with the flexibility to make each release your own. Members receive 50% off shipping.

For those interested, Fall Taste of Tantalus shipment is coming up, with orders processed Thursday, October 1st (a delicious treat from our friends at Chickpeace Zero Waste Refillery is included in this season’s shipment!)

We closed out an absolutely stunning last day of summer with our friends from the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project and an annual harvest of our estate apple trees! Hundreds of pounds of fresh apples are headed to a bevy of Okanagan organizations supporting access to nutrional food in our community - all thanks to their hard-working volunteers pictured here. ❤️
