It's National Mutt Day, so we wanted to introduce you to Key Rehabilitation Services' trusty side kicks!
Five year old Rupert, although a purebred (papered) Basset Hound, brings a mixed personality that gives him that 'mutt' status. He has the hiking capacity of a lab, so don't let those short legs fool you! He looks like he would be the perfect couch dog, but he is actually a fan of long hikes up steep mountain paths and will partake whether it is rain, sun, snow, sleet or hail. Then, when he's soaking wet and tired, that's when he wants to be a lap dog.
Also five years old is Floyd, who's mutt status seems to include Border Collie, Dalmatian and German Shepard. Although his owner's aren't sure exactly what's running through his blood, whatever it is it's running fast and rarely runs out of gas. Floyd loves fast runs on the beach, fast runs on the trails, fast runs up mountains, endless swimming after sticks, and long sprints after balls and frisbees at the dog park. He enjoys dragging (literally) his humans on any of the above adventures.
