During a strategy session, a business owner proudly showed me a thick binder.
He said, “This is our SOP.”
So I asked him one simple question:
“When is the last time anyone actually read this?”
Nobody in the room had any answers...
Here’s the hard truth:
If your systems live in a binder no one touches… they don’t exist.
the owner becomes the walking SOP.
Real systems don’t sit in thick binders.
They are bite size, easily accessible, and are updated as the business grows.
