As part of Fire Prevention Week, we’re excited to challenge students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 to learn the skills they need to be community safety conscious, promote fire prevention, and help protect our community.

RDOS hosts public information session on fire protection services.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is focused on the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and professional fire protection services and recognizes the important role that volunteer firefighters play in protecting lives and property throughout the region.

To help residents better understand how fire protection services are delivered, the RDOS will host an online public information session on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The session will provide an overview of RDOS fire protection services, including emergency preparedness, response operations, governance, and the roles and responsibilities that support fire service delivery across the region.
