🌞 SUMMERTIME ! 🌞

We are opening up our little store at the farm next Friday, June 19th!! We’ve had lots of interest for people wanting to stop by and even though we are limited with our time, we want to meet you and say HEY !

On-site store hours will be Fridays 12pm-3:30pm to start with this summer to see how it goes and flows.

What a crazy Q2 so far - I’ve had lots of conversations with others in this wild industry as of late, and the vibe is…well…this is so so so hard.

We don’t remember it ever being this hard. We want just normal hard again. The goal posts keep moving, you know? We all used to be cool and pose for photos like this, now we are wearing the same clothes 5 days in a row and are in the depths of growing season. Navigating economics, once again.

But! Hallelujah to having lots of yummy wine for everybody and overall positive season - we are in this together BC. Hopefully the Suckling team has some awesome reviews for the world to see - our story here is unique and as we are recovering and reframing I hope more people are curious as to what us nut jobs here in the desert are up to.

This wine was such a hit at all the festivals this month and is perfect for Spring: field strawberry, raspberry sorbet and toasty spice on super fine and long lasting mousse. We love her.

Also sparkling wine in a bath cures most problems 👌🏼

🌷Our 2025 Mariani Gamay Traditional Method 🌷

This champagne-style 100% Gamay sparkling is perfect for Spring - fresh field strawberries, raspberry danish, pastry and herbs on soft fine mousse.

Direct pressed Gamay juice fermented in stainless and rested on fermentation lees for 8 mo the before secondary fermentation. Disgorged on May 4th.

Truly a special one from us here at Bella :)

We’ve posted our busy schedule for this weekend for Vancouver events, seminars and sneaky tastings up on the Bella Website (link in bio)

🍾 This Saturday we will be tasting New wines with from 2-4pm.

🍾 Trade Seminar “The Bub” Monday May 11th. We will be pouring unique sparkling alongside other producers.

🍾 Kick-off party Monday May 11th 7:30-9:30 (late…who are we kidding).

🍾 Trade Seminar “The New Gen” with discussing unique textures and importance of soil. Tuesday May 12th Yaletown Performance Centre.

🍾 THE MAIN EVENT: Tuesday May 12th 7pm-9:30pm at Roundhouse Arts Centre.

Going to be crazy!!! But we are so excited to come see everybody and delve into all the wines and discussions.

Spring vineyard goals met!

We have loosely cultivated every second row in our red vines (Marquette pictured) and put in our cover crop of peas, vetch, oats, grass, and like…6 types of clover and flowers.
Putting it in every second row allows us to visually compare, saves a bit of money, and I don’t know, looks cool. Like when people drive by they see it as intentional. Haha. But mainly saving time and money.

Last video is our third-leaf Pinot Noir vibes that we planted in 2024. Our double trunk pruning, compost, mulching compost, straw and nutrition program had made these vines super strong and we are so excited to meet our grapes in abundance.

Organic works. It just does. Cutworm was minimal this year since the bugs had so much other s**t to eat than just buds. O manic material means we put on a few inches of soil over the past few years and to see lush grass, less weeds, and string vines WITHOUT a single puff of herbicide or pesticide makes us feel so validated with our efforts.

Vitality. Focusing on the basics. No fancy landscaping, no fancy tasting room, and no fancy packaging can ever replace the fundamentals of soil work for your vineyard/winery business. Ever.
