ARCHERY TRAINING/COACHING and
R.L.S.O. Qualification at Camp Samac, Scouts Canada Range.

This program was a bonus following part one of the two-weekend courses for Quartermaster, Food Safety Training and Advanced Scouter Skills/Development.

Thanks to Glenn and Kathy Bryers, a few more Scouters are ready for SCOPE CAMP, CECuboree and more !!

Safety Training, Rules, equipment and Procedures are being standardized at Scouts Canada Ranges including SAMAC, Woodland Trails Scout Camp , Blue Springs Scout Reserve , Everton Scout Camp and more.

Get Trained.

Because I was asked..

Beyond any given Saturday the preceding Friday is no longer referred to as THIS but as LAST..
The soonest occuring Friday is subsequently identified as THIS and the one more than seven days away immediately following THIS is NEXT.
Further clarification...if yesterday was Thursday then TODAY would be Friday making NEXT FRIDAY seven days hence..

Ok.
That's how we do it in MY house .
See you on October 20th.

I sometimes think..wouldn't it be nice if the old guy with the sharpening cart left his phone number instead of randomly ringing a bell on an arbitrary route. ?

I knew the guy that did it when was a kid..
he walked around with a pushcart and a foot powered grinding wheel.. after many years, his son took over and had a step van. He later sold it and whoever took over kept the bell and moved it to a newer truck..

So there's still that familiar Bell that sets us old farts running for scissors and shears.

These days I have my own grinder and take care of all the tools we have.. but frankly...
I miss the bell ..

I wonder if kids these days even know.

Maybe I should buy a bell of my own..
and take a slow drive around the old neighborhood.

I've seen worse but not lately.. I'll be back in there cleaning and repairing before I relay the base and put it back.
