As an Alumnus of the Agricultural Equipment Technician program offered at Assiniboine College. I was honoured to be given the opportunity to donate some time and one of my trucks to contribute to making this school even greater than it has always been.

We’re excited to share a great example of industry partnership enhancing hands-on learning for our students!

One of our HD/AG Equipment Instructors, Warren Cowling, recently noticed an air seeder cart for sale that he felt would be a valuable addition to the hydraulic and farm equipment classes he teaches. After our team connected with the owner and discussed a potential gift‑in‑kind, we’re thrilled to say the decision was made to donate the air cart directly to the program!

To make this even better, Peter Irving, owner/operator of Southwest Towing & Recovery in Killarney, generously offered to haul the air cart from the farm to our North Hill campus. Peter is also a proud alumnus of our Agricultural Technician Apprenticeship program, making this contribution especially meaningful.

A huge thank-you to everyone involved for supporting student learning and strengthening ties between education and industry. This is what community collaboration looks like! 🙌
