Out of office and on our game! ⚾🎳

Our Digital Transformation & AI team recently headed downtown for a well-deserved Team Day Away, trading screens and meetings for a Blue Jays game and a little friendly competition at the bowling alley.

It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend some time together outside of work, and strengthen the connections that make collaboration back at the office even better.

A great day with a great team, with hopefully more strikes than gutter balls! 😉

NuScale Power Corporation is deploying nuclear-specific AI developed in collaboration with Nuclearn and Nuclear Promise X to support its engineering and knowledge-management teams.

The initiative brings together NuScale’s advanced reactor expertise, Nuclearn’s AtomAssist platform and NPX’s nuclear project and implementation experience. We’re excited to help drive this work forward and demonstrate what’s possible when nuclear expertise and purpose-built technology come together.

NPX is heading to Dallas! ✈️

We'll be attending the 2026 Nuclear Energy Conference & Expo (NECX) from August 24–27 in Dallas, Texas.

Hosted by the American Nuclear Society (ANS) and the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), NECX brings together professionals from across the nuclear energy industry to connect, share ideas, and explore the technologies, strategies, and opportunities shaping the future of nuclear.

We're looking forward to great conversations, new connections, and plenty of ideas to bring home with us.

This past Monday was all about learning, connecting, and growing together at NPX! 🌱

Our latest Growth Day gave our team a chance to step away from the day-to-day and explore new ideas, build new skills, challenge our thinking, and have some fun along the way.

🤖 We dove into how we can use Claude more effectively and make AI work to our advantage.

💡 Teams put their skills to the test in a Consulting Case Competition, working together to tackle a challenge, develop solutions, and present their ideas.

🔎 We flexed a different kind of problem-solving during our Murder Mystery Social Hour, splitting into teams to follow the clues, crack the case, and uncover the culprit.

🌿 We were also incredibly grateful to welcome Dr. Elisa Levi as our keynote speaker. Dr. Levi shared her experiences and perspectives on health, community, and creating meaningful change, including the work underway to establish Noongwa Wellness, an Indigenous-led primary care and healing space in Neyaashiinigmiing, rooted in community, culture, and connection to land.

A huge thank you to Dr. Levi for spending time with us and sharing your knowledge, experiences, and vision!

From exploring new technology and tackling consulting challenges to hearing new perspectives and solving a mystery together, Growth Day was a great reminder that learning can take many different forms. 🧠✨

Today we recognize and honour Indigenous Peoples around the world, their cultures, languages, knowledge systems, and enduring connection to the land.

Indigenous communities have safeguarded knowledge for generations, offering perspectives on stewardship, sustainability, and community that remain deeply relevant today.

This day is an opportunity to listen, learn, and acknowledge the contributions of Indigenous Peoples globally, while recognizing the ongoing work needed to protect rights, cultures, and self-determination.

From alpacas to onboarding... now that's a team day. 🦙💡

Last week, our People & Experience, IT, and Business Operations teams stepped away from their day-to-day work for a day of learning, collaboration, and a little adventure.

We kicked things off with an incredible tour of Thede Acres Alpacas, where Scott introduced us to the ins and outs of farm operations, gave us the chance to meet and feed the alpacas (and a few llamas!), and even witness a 24-hour-old cria being introduced to the herd.

After lunch, we headed back to the office for a hackathon focused on improving the many behind-the-scenes onboarding processes at NPX. It was a great opportunity to collaborate across teams, challenge existing processes, and brainstorm new ways to create an even better experience for future employees.

From curious alpacas to creative problem-solving, it was a day filled with learning, teamwork, and plenty of laughs. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day!

Due to the forecasted rain and cloud cover, we've made the decision to postpone tomorrow's Stargazing Night.

We're disappointed to miss this opportunity to gather under the stars, but we'd rather wait for clear skies and the best possible viewing experience.
