April 28 — Day of Mourning

Today hits different.

It’s for the ones who punched in and never punched out. The ones who left for work like any other day and didn’t make it home.
And for the ones still here, carrying injuries you can see and the ones you can’t.

In our world, we joke hard, work harder, and push through more than most people understand. But today isn’t about toughness. It’s about remembering.

Remembering brothers and sisters we’ve lost.
Standing with those still fighting to heal.
And reminding ourselves that no job is worth a life.

So check your gear. Watch your crew. Speak up when something’s not right.
Because the best shift is the one where everyone makes it home.

For the fallen, we remember.
For the living, we stay sharp.
