🔨 What You’ll Be Doing
Perform abatement and demolition work on residential, commercial, and industrial sites
Safely remove hazardous materials such as asbestos, mould, and lead
Set up and maintain containment areas and decontamination systems
Use hand tools and equipment for demolition and material removal
Follow all health & safety protocols and site procedures
Clean and prepare job sites and dispose of materials properly
✅ Requirements
Valid G Driver’s License but not a must
Ability to perform physical labour in all environments (confined spaces, heights, PPE)
Willing and able to wear respiratory protection (clean-shaven requirement)
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Safety-first mindset

Worker Health & Safety Awareness
Asbestos Abatement Worker (253W) (asset) if not ECSI will train

Not everyday is the team doing structural demolition. Today on a shoreline cleanup we came across a sunken boat. Out it came and conveniently fit right in a bin! Environmentall Contracting Services Inc.

Although it’s the first day of the Canadian recession it’s great to see the municipality cleaning up the city and water ways!

Today is Remembrance Day, a time for us to pause to honour and remember the people who have served and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace.

This municipal holiday will be observed with a Civic Service of Remembrance and an illumination of City Hall in red and white to commemorate the armistice agreement that ended the First World War on Nov. 11, 1918, at 11 a.m.—on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

In honour of Remembrance Day, two temporary Veterans Commemorative Painted Crosswalks were installed at the intersection of Lower Union and Ontario Street, and the National Memorial to the Fallen was officially unveiled in Macdonald Park.

ECSI is searching for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team. Can be in the union or might be interested in the union. We are looking for an operator that has five years of water and sewer related experience ideally.
