FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1- HOW DO I VIEW YOUR CATALOGUE?
-Head to 4Bidding.com and click on "Auctions". This will bring you to Hibid.com (the website that we host our auctions on). You will see any current auctions and can click on "View Catalogue" to browse the items available to bid on.
2-HOW DO I BID ON AN ITEM?
-You will need to create a Hibid account, and have a credit card handy to reg
ister for each auction. Click the "BID" button on any item you'd like to bid on, and confirm your registration in the pop up. At anytime, you can see all of your active bids under the main menu by clicking the "Welcome, *your name*" drop down list and selecting "Current Bids"
3- DO YOU SHIP TO ME?
-We ship select items to Canada and the USA depending on a variety of factors (size, weight, fragility, etc.). If the truck symbol has a red strike-through, the item it NOT available for shipping. We generally do not ship furniture, oversized/bulky items, or large fragile pieces. See more details on the "Shipping/Pick Up" information drop down on any lot on Hibid.com.
4- WHERE IS AUCTION PICK UP?
-Our pick up location is in Kitchener, Ontario at:
108 Birch Avenue, Kitchener ON (enter on Maple Avenue*)
-*IMPORTANT NOTE: we operate our auction pick up out of the REAR of the building that is accessible only by Maple Avenue (runs parallel to Birch Avenue)- follow signage on auction pick up day. Occasionally we will host auction pick up off site- in this case the detail will be made clear in the Shipping/Pick Up" information dropdown on each lot page.
5-WHAT IS A WATCHLIST?
-Your Watchlist is a folder where you can save lots that you are interested in bidding on. Click the star labeled "Watch" on a lot to add it to your Watchlist. You can find your Watchlist in your main menu by clicking the "Welcome, *your name*" dropdown menu and clicking Watchlist. NOTE: when the auction is live you must bid from the "Current Bids" page and not the Watchlist page.
6- WHAT IS A MAX BID?
-When clicking to bid, you will be able to enter a "Max Bid". This is the highest price that Hidbid will automatically bid up to on your behalf. When you place a winning Max Bid, you will be the current winner of the lot until someone surpasses your Max Bid. You are able to make a Max Bid of any amount higher than the current highest bid.
7-WHAT IF I RECEIVE MY ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED?
-We do our best to take quality images of our lots and document significant issues as best we can. All items are final sale and all bids are binding. Buyers that pick up in person are asked to sign off on the condition of their purchases before taking them off site. All shipped items are insured for their full value- if you receive an item that is damaged in shipping, immediately take photos of the item AND the packaging upon receiving it. This will allow us to file an insurance claim with the delivery service.
