July 1st - Vigilant Security was deployed across the City of Cambridge to support the annual Canada Day celebration, traffic, concert, fireworks and cross City shuttle locations. Unfortunately the event was canceled mid-day due to sudden severe weather.

Our Guards pivoted quickly to support everyone in attendance with downed trees, flying tents and weather related damage.

Now we’re excited to support round 2 - Saturday August 1st - join us in Cambridge where we’ll be supporting with security and Vigilant Medical Services staff for a great event!!!

Vigilant Employees can obtain an N95 mask at no charge from our office to help protect from fine smoke particles during this multi-day wildfire smoke event. With Air Quality Index at 10+ over most of Southern Ontario we want to keep you safe while you do the same for others. Delivery of masks will be arranged where possible as well.

🚨 The Vigilant Challenge is ON. 🚨

For the next 35 (ish) days, every Vigilant Security employee has the opportunity to complete our scavenger hunt style Challenge, ending July 31st.

This isn’t about finding trouble. It’s about developing the habits that make exceptional security professionals.

Complete all 10 challenge items through your regular duties, ensure each is properly documented in your incident reports, then submit the exact report dates and times to management for verification.

✅ A suspicious person requiring observation or engagement.
✅ A suspicious vehicle (occupied or behaving unusually).
✅ An unsecured door or gate.
✅ An interaction where you assisted a member of the public, tenant, patient or staff member.
✅ A maintenance issue (burnt-out light, broken fixture, damaged fence, etc.).
✅ Lost or found property that was properly handled and documented.
✅ Successfully de-escalate a person in crisis, clearly documenting the stage of crisis and the outcome.
✅ Evidence of vandalism, graffiti or mischief.
✅ A safety concern such as a water leak, trip hazard, broken handrail or spill.
✅ A proactive patrol that prevented an issue or identified something before it became a complaint.

At the end of the challenge, every employee who completes all 10 items will be entered into a draw.
