As a result of our detail-oriented approach, MHBC has received numerous awards including The Margaret Nicholas Hill Cultural Heritage Landscape Award, the City of Hamilton Urban Design and Architecture Award of Merit, the St. Catharine’s Community Design Award, and numerous awards from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI). Our firm is headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario and has five offices located within Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area, with a staff of more than 60 planners, landscape architects, heritage planners, technicians, and urban designers.

Sandy brings a truly unique and valuable perspective to our practice. With a background as a Policy Advisor for the Niagara Escarpment Commission, he has built a career that bridges ecology, policy, and planning in a way that is increasingly important in today’s planning landscape. His ability to bring ecological knowledge directly into planning and policy work strengthens our team’s capacity to on projects.

MHBC values multidisciplinary thinking and Sandy is a natural fit. We are excited to share his expertise and perspective with our clients and communities.
