A December 2020 survey of 2,800 workers showed the following numbers in terms of mental health in the workplace:
- The pandemic has ushered in a whole new level of exhaustion among today’s workers.
- Nearly 70% of workers who transitioned to remote work said they worked weekends last year
- 45% working more during the week than they did before.
- More parents juggle childcare responsibilities, too. - Millions of people have quit their jobs, in what’s been dubbed the Great Resignation.
- Labor shortage of 11 million jobs, which has left the workers who remain juggling even more work.
- Burnout is on the rise with more than half of workers experiencing burnout, up from 43% last year.
- A 2021 survey showed that 80% of them say the pandemic has taken a toll.
Even though employees are starting to move back to their offices, it does not mean that everything is resolved. Organisations that have shown their employees, with real changes - in their management and HR practices with tools - will be thriving more than those who think that things will get better without anything to do about it. What is showing up in you end of the wood?
More than half of workers say they’re experiencing burnout, up from 43% last year, and 80% of them say the pandemic has taken a toll.
