Last Friday, Community Futures Lac La Biche was proud to participate in the Lac La Biche Pow Wow Parade with a float celebrating our 40th anniversary.

Our float was inspired by the community we've had the privilege of serving for the past four decades. At its centre stood a replica of the Lac La Biche water tower, an iconic local landmark, alongside a miniature Community Futures building, symbolizing our long-standing commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and strengthening our region.

The miniature Main Street featured symbolic storefronts representing the diverse business community we've had the privilege of supporting over the past 40 years. Together with the Community Futures building and the iconic water tower, the float celebrated the people, businesses, and partnerships that continue to shape our region.

As a board member, you'll help guide an organization that supports entrepreneurs, strengthens local businesses, and advances community economic development across the Lac La Biche region.

Community Futures Lac La Biche is committed to building a Board that reflects the communities we serve. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and are particularly interested in hearing from residents of Plamondon, Grassland, and Wandering River, as well as members of Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Heart Lake First Nation, Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, and Kikino Métis Settlement. We also encourage women and other underrepresented voices to apply.
